What is the meaning of home, and how long does it take for place to feel like home? How many people have lived in this place before me, and what are the parallel realities of memories stuck in this place? Näyttely on suljettu (The Exhibition is Closed) is a series of photographs examining the attachment people create to certain places, and how historical places, and thus the memories attached to them, are in danger to be demolished because of economical and political decisions.
The photographs of the project are taken in a school which was educating people in different subjects from housekeeping to arts from 1909 till 2018, giving accommodation for students in the school building. The photographs were taken in the empty school in 2019, after the school had moved to a bigger city.
